Spring 2015 NCAEA Drive-In Conference
“Balance to Fit: (Re)Defining Success for Adult Students"
The conference was held in the Mckinnon Center at NC State University Campus on April 30, 2015. The conference focused on conversations related to “Balance to Fit.” Keynote speakers included Dr. Carol Kasworm, Ms. Marcy Bullock, and Dr. Joyce Gaston Fayles from NC State, Dr. Linda Wilson-Jones from Fayeteville State, Dr. Vivian Mott from East Carolina, Ms. Neva Avery from UNC Wellness Center, Dr. Rhonda Sutton from Claritas Counseling and Consultation, and Dr. Marilyn Sheerer from UNC Wilmington.


Fall 2014 NCAEA Drive-In Conference
"Changing the Paradigm of Retention to Persistence for Engagement and Student Success"
The conference was held in the Mckinnon Center at NC State University Campus on November 6, 2014. The conference focused on conversations
related to student success, retention and engagement. The Keynote speaker was Dr. Terrell Strayhorn from The Ohio State University.


Spring 2014 NCAEA Conference
"Active & Veteran Military Students: Enriching Our Campuses as the New Adult Learners"
The conference was held in Fort-Bragg, NC April 3-4, 2014. The Spring 2014 conference focused on military students as the new adult learner. Keynote speakers included General Rodney Anderson, Retired deputy commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg.


Fall 2012 NCAEA Conference
"Technology & The Adult Learner"
The conference was held in Asheville, NC September 28-29, 2012. The Fall 2012 conference focused on technology and the learner. Keynote speakers
included Dr. Nicole Kendall from Tennessee State University and Dr. Robbie Melton, Associate Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs eLearning from the Tennessee Board of Regents.


Fall 2011 NCAEA Networking Event
The fall 2011 networking event was a tremendous success despite the torrential rains at UNC-Charlotte. Students and professionals from around the State exchanged ideas and insights of their experiences and challenges as an adult student or a graduate student studying adult education. In addition, the participants heard from their peers about current research projects through outstanding presentation.

Students and professionals from around the State exchanged ideas and insights of their experiences and challenges as an adult student or a graduate student studying adult education. In addition, the participants heard from their peers about current research projects through outstanding presentation.


Fall 2010 NCAEA Networking Event
“Visioning 21st Century Adult Education: Best Practices”
The September 17, 2010 fall networking event was a huge success on the campus of NC A&T State University. We have almost 100 adult education professionals and students in attendance. We witnessed some great presentations and networked with many professionals from state and private colleges/universities.
