It is a pleasure to take on the role of President of the NC Adult Education Association (NCAEA) for the 2015-2016 year.
With so much changing in higher education, it is important to network with other colleagues and keep the “hot topics” at the forefront of what we do. Without networking and discussion, we cannot make change where
change is needed. This is exactly what the mission of the NC Adult Education Association is all about; to provide learning initiatives, professional development, and networking opportunities to its members.
This is going to be an exciting year with a series of Spring/Summer roundtable networking events and a Fall drive-in conference of student presentations! Building off of the momentum of the April and November 2014 conferences, I’d love to see all of the 2016 events highly attended with engaging and dynamic speakers to continue to strengthen our commitment to adult learners in higher education, specifically in North Carolina.
